re-scheduled for the year 2021.

Because of the current situation with COVID-19 in France the BIOAM-2020 workshop is re-scheduled for the year 2021.

Please, check for the updates on the exact dates of BIOAM-2021 later.

Welcome

BIOAM is a well-established biennial workshop in biophotonics, optical polarization, optical angular momentum and advanced optical instrumentation including ~100 participants from more than 20 countries, held at Ecole polytechnique, Palaiseau (PhD France) since 2016.

The BIOAM-2020 workshop will take place over two full days: 29th-30th of October 2020. We aim to provide a forum for the researchers from both academia and industry working in various domains related to optical angular momentum (spin and orbital), including fundamental aspects, polarimetric instrumentation and various applications. We are facilitating the creation of an international research network for the exchange of expertise, identification of new directions and perspectives in the field of optical angular momentum (OAM) studies with special emphasis on applications of OAM in biology and medical diagnostic.

The non-exhaustive list of topics includes: chirality and OAM, propagation of OAM in complex media, generalized polarimetric-OAM instrumentation, super-resolution imaging, generation of the beams with complex wave front and singularities, extended Mueller algebra, biomedical photonics, etc.

The organization of BIOAM-2020 is supported by the Laboratory of Physics of Interfaces and Thin Films (LPICM), Ecole polytechnique, French Optical Society (SFO).

We invite you to be a part of BIOAM-2020 workshop and look forward to welcoming you to Palaiseau, France!
